In this remarkable technique, when carried out skilfully, planted hair can be used for life and no fall off is experienced again in the same area. Our highly experienced and talented hair transplant specialist of over 25 years will guarantee this permanent solution for your hair loss problem here in Turkey.

Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE), is a hair transplant method in which a highly experienced specialist extracts hair follicles from the donor area, typically the back of the neck. Follicles are then transferred to the recipient area on the scalp. In this method, there is no need for the specialist to make a long incision in the donor area.

During the operation, the patient does not feel any pain. The process is very comfortable for the patient. As no incision is performed, it is not possible to leave any traces in donor or transplantation areas after hair transplantation with FUE technique.

The scalp of the patient is made numb so that he/she will not feel any kind of pain. After that, the areas from which the hair follicles are to be extracted are marked. After the area is selected, the grafts are then removed from the area. It is done with the help of a micro punch.

The extracted hair follicles are then placed on the required site. The graft is checked again to make sure that everything is done in a proper manner and then the area is closed.

Pre-Op Instructions

  • Blood thinners and other types of medication will need to be avoided for about two weeks before surgery.
  • Nutritional supplements such as ginseng, Vitamin E, and others should also be stopped during this period. Our medical professionals will talk more with you about this once your medical history has been reviewed and your customized treatment plan has been developed.
  • Alcoholic beverages and smoking should be stopped at least two weeks prior to the operation to prevent complications with the healing process.
  • Rogaine®/Minoxidil application should be stopped within one week before surgery.
  • Not following the pre-op instructions can lead to “thin blood” and an increase of bleeding during surgery, making it harder to execute a detailed hair drawing that maximizes density. This is especially difficult if working through areas with a lot of remaining hair. Furthermore, these patients metabolize anesthetics faster, making it more difficult to maintain adequate anesthesia. This will increase the amount of necessary injections and prolong the duration of the procedure.
  • Avoid potential hazards to the scalp (sun exposure, excessive hair pulling, etc.) in the weeks leading up to your surgery.
  • Stop the use of hair products the day before the procedure.

Post-Op Instructions

  • When sleeping, the patient should sleep on their back, a traveling pillow or rolled towel should be placed under the neck.
  • During the first 48 hours, any contact with the planted area should be avoided.
  • For the first 3 days after the operation,  Blood thinning medications should not be used.
  • The patient should rest for 3 days after the operation. Severe and heavy work should be avoided.
  • The transplanted area should be avoided from contact with the sun. If you need to go out; you can wear a soft hat made of soft fabric without restricting your head too much.
  • A lot of water should be drunken. Tea, coffee and cigarettes should not be consumed during the first 3 days.
  • Alcohol should not be consumed 3 days before and after hair transplantation. Using alcohol triggers the risk of bleeding.
  • Over the course of 15 days, clothings should be worn and taken off carefully in order not to damage the donor and transplanted areas.
  • Sea, pool, sauna and hammam carry risk of infection for hair transplant patients. To prevent this risk, such activities should be avoided for 3 weeks.
  • Only towel drying, in a gentle way, should be used after a couple of months following the operation.
