1. What is the difference between dental crowns and veneers?

The main difference between crowns and veneers is that crowns are thicker and cover the entire tooth whereas veneers are thinner and are designed to just cover the front of the tooth.

2. Should I brush my teeth after getting veneers done?

Yes, for sure. It will be covered your natural teeth so mouth cleaning is important and needed.

3. Is there any chance to choose the color of veneers?

4. How long do dental veneers last?

The average of a dental veneer is about 10 years. With proper dental care and cosmetic, that time can be lengthened, to up to 20 years.

5. How much of the tooth is removed for veneers?

For many veneers, about 1/2 mm of enamel must be removed. For perspective, that's about the thickness of a fingernail.

How Does Process Work?


  • First Day: On your arrival date you will be picked up from the airport and taken to your hotel. It will be already arranged so you will not need to do anything extra other than giving your name to the desk. In the evening you will be informed about your appointment time for the next day.
  • Second Day: On your operation day we will take you to your consultation with the dentist. During your consultation, our dentists will see you, and they will take your x-rays and CT scan, and after they examine your case in a closer manner, they may/may not need to do rearrangements on your treatment plan according to what you & your teeth really need.
  • Third Day: You will have free day and you can enjoy beautiful İzmir!
  • Fourth Day: Teeth preparation includes a small amount of tooth enamel removed to make room for your veneer. Our dentistry team will apply local anesthetic, so you will feel comfortable during the procedure.
  • Fifth Day: You will have free day and you can enjoy beautiful İzmir!
  • Sixth Day: You will be picked up from your hotel and at your final dental visit everything will be examined. Also your bite will be checked.
  • Seventh Day: You will fly into your home with your new smile!
Pre-Op Instructions

  • Any medical conditions should be discussed prior to surgery date.
  • Please advise us if you are taking any medication.
  • Take all medically prescribed daily medications as usual.
  • Take all medications prescribed by our office as directed.
  • Do not wear cosmetics around the mouth, as they may be inadvertently transferred into the surgical area during the procedure. Prior to surgery, your nose, cheeks, lips and chin will be disinfected.
  • Do not drink caffeinated beverages the day of surgery.
  • Do not drink alcoholic beverages for 3 days prior to surgery.
  • Do eat a light meal before arriving at our clinic for surgery unless otherwise directed.
  • Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing.
Post- Op Instructions

  • For the first few days, avoid extremely hot foods and beverages.
  • Avoid eating sticky or crunchy food.
  • Flossing is not recommended. If you really want to, pop your floss between your teeth and instead of pulling it back out; pull it out on the side gently.
  • Continue regular brushing as the underlying tooth is still vulnerable to decay if not looked after properly.
  • It is normal to have changes in response to temperature and soreness at the injection site. This should subside within a few days, or in some cases, weeks. If you still feel uncomfortable after that time period, please contact our office
  • If the gums around temporary crowns get sensitive, rinse your mouth 4 times a day with saltwater rinses.
